During the dot com boom, I befriended a fellow who was starting up a tech comany that was going to develop wireless data services for companies. They would make the palm pilots of the staff talk to the main databases back at the office, that sort of thing. He came up with the Air Support idea as the name - then I added this retro military twist to it. Its one of those projects where the concept was so strong to begin with, it almost designed itself.
